Our campus is closed to the public for this event.

The “Dynamics of Wealth Inequality and Family Structure” workshop will bring together anthropologists, economists and other scientists to continue large scale comparative empirical and theoretical work of the Dynamics of Wealth Inequality project at SFI. The meeting in late January 2015 will be an opportunity for project members to present recent progress on the Project’s  research objectives. A focus of the meeting will be to advance our research strategy of combining ethnographic data with mathematical models of the interacting dynamics of family structure and wealth disparity, drawing on insights from demography, anthropology and economics.  Ongoing related research from other teams in the project – on network structure and wealth inequality, gender differences, new wealth, and other – will also be discussed.
