The 2024 ergodicity economics meeting will bring together participants actively engaged in ergodicity-related research in any academic discipline, predominantly based in the US. The purpose of spending a few days of intense discussion and collaboration together is to map out the landscape of who is doing what. A similar event in Europe in 2023 led to a follow-up workshop there and to new collaborations among teams using the concept of ergodicity in various disciplines. These include neuroscience, reinforcement learning, environmental economics, decision theory, actuarial science, and finance. The invitation-only meeting of 20 participants will follow a much larger online conference, which is open to everyone.

Supported by a grant from Omidyar Network.
