Topical Meeting

All day

Our campus is closed to the public for this event.

Venue: Credit Suisse, New York, NY

Co-organizer: Michael Mauboussin, Credit-Suisse and Chair of SFI Board of Trustees

Many forms of human endeavor involve combinations of skill and luck, and in most cases those two components of performance are inextricably entangled. Based on the work described in co-organizer Michael Mauboussin's "The Success Equation: Untangling Skill and Luck in Business, Sports, and Investing”, this topical meeting will review the conceptual and methodological strategies needed to distinguish skill from luck to the extent possible, and to use those distinctions to help formulate better decisions.
