Upcoming Events:
Complex Political Identity (August 10-11, 2026)
The working group will explore how complex systems approaches can improve our understanding of political identity and its relationship to persistent social inequalities. By bringing together scholars from multiple disciplines, the group aims to develop new models and methods for studying how identity shapes political behavior, particularly voting. The goal is to build an empirically testable theory of complex political identity that offers deeper insight into both electoral dynamics and broader societal change.
2026 Postdoc in Complexity Global Conference (TBD)
The 2026 Postdocs in Complexity Global Conference will be held at the Santa Fe Institute (dates TBD), bringing together interdisciplinary postdoctoral researchers from complexity centers around the world. Building on previous meetings, the conference will provide a forum for early-career scholars to share emerging research, exchange ideas, and explore new collaborations in complex systems science. The event will continue fostering connections across institutions and disciplines while strengthening the global community of complexity researchers.
