Who Will Grow the Food for a Hotter, More Crowded World?

Nina Fedoroff - Science Board, External Professor, Santa Fe Institute; Distinguished Professor of Biosciences, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology; Evan Pugh Professor, Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, Penn State University

The climate is warming. Water tables are falling everywhere. Biodiversity is under pressure. We’re out of arable land. And yet today’s human population of 7 billion will race past 9 billion by 2050. Will we be able to produce enough food? Is organic farming the key to sustainability? What will the family farm of the future look like? In this talk, SFI External Professor and Science Board member Nina Fedoroff explores the future of agriculture and our changing environment.

Seating is limited and by invitation only.

Please click here to reserve your place online by July 11 or call the Office of Advancement at 505.946.3678.
