SFI's Translational Fellows explore the liminal space between the traditional domains of academia, government, and industry.

Started in 2019, fellows in this new program work on projects that are directed by SFI resident faculty, but supported by government and industry partners. The two inaugural Translational Projects focus on: (i) the application of scaling theory to human social organizations, and (ii) counterspeech strategies for combating online hate and social polarization. The Translational Fellowship lasts two years, and begins in July or August. The application portal for the 2020 cohort will open in December, 2019.
