Michael Collins has been President of Collins Capital since 1982; which today is a group of “Fund of Funds” invested in multi-manager strategies utilizing alternative, non-traditional liquid investment strategies internationally

Prior to Collins Capital at Fidelity Union Life Insurance Company, he was President and Chairman for over 10 years and then became President of Allianz of America. Since then he has also actively managed a venture capital fund, a long/short fund, private equity, real estate, telecommunications, M&A and oil & gas ventures.

Currently, he serves Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Board Member; MOCA Museum Miami, Chairman of the Board; Friends of Florence, Chairman of the Executive Committee; Santa Fe Research Institute, Board Member; International Chief Executives Organization, Board Member.

Formerly, he served Dallas Museum of Art for over 20 years, Board of Trustees; Southwest Outward Bound, Chairman; National Board of Outward Bound; USA Film Festival, founding Board Member; PBS Dallas Board; International Board of Young Presidents Organization and numerous other community, health and educational boards.

Education: Stanford University BA (President Stanford Student Body) and a MBA from Harvard Business School. Awards include "10 Outstanding Young Men of America" and "10 Outstanding Young Texans of the Decade".

Michael and his wife Sandy live in Coral Gables, Fl. They have 4 children and 3 grandsons. They bike, hike, ski, golf and travel. They spend their summers in Aspen.
