SFI Professor and Vice President for Science Jennifer Dunne has been selected as a Fellow of the Ecological Society of America (ESA) for 2017.

The ESA’s lifetime Fellowship recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the science of ecology.

Dunne was selected for her central contributions to the theory of food web analyses, including extensions to paleo food webs.

“SFI scientists are known for their transdisciplinary research. Being elected fellow to top professional organizations shows that SFI researchers also have deep expertise in their fields,” says Dunne. “It is an honor to follow in the footsteps of other resident and external professors who have been named Fellows of the ESA, the American Physical Society, the American Mathematical Society, and other organizations.”
