For the second consecutive year, SFI has earned the highest possible rating from the independent charity evaluator Charity Navigator, recognizing the Institute’s governance, fiscal management, and commitment to accountability and transparency.
Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, writes that "only 21% of the charities we rate have received at least two consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Santa Fe Institute outperforms most other charities in America."
The ratings certify that SFI manages its operations and its mission in the most responsible and transparent manner, and they emphasize to existing donors and prospective supporters that SFI is worthy of their investment.
The Institute also maintains the highest rank (“Gold” status) in the charity database GuideStar.
