SFI External Professor Mahzarin R. Banaji

SFI External Professor Mahzarin R. Banaji, the Richard Clarke Cabot Professor of Social Ethics and Chair of the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, has been selected to receive this year’s Association for Psychological Science’s (APS) William James Fellow Award for lifetime contributions to the basic science of psychology.

Banaji’s research centers around studied social attitudes and beliefs in adults and children, with a focus on the implications of her work for questions of individual responsibility and social justice in democratic societies.

In recognition of the award, she will lead a special symposium at the 2017 APS Annual Convention in Boston.
