SFI honored eight Santa Fe-area high school seniors and one teacher for outstanding performance in science and mathematics during a May 4 ceremony at the Institute. The winning teacher for 2010 is Anita Gerlach, a science teacher at Santa Fe High School. She has been the school’s Science Club sponsor since 1989. Gerlach's former students have won numerous national science awards. For the third consecutive year the 2010 awards were co-sponsored by the Santa Fe Alliance for Science.
