Updates & Trends
An old-timer from Taos I met this summer promised lots of snow based on the summer monsoon patterns. We are still waiting with a mid-day high of 59ºF/15ºC. Fingers-crossed for January and February. In the meantime, NIH has implemented the requirement that all senior/key personnel include their ORCID ID on their biosketch with each proposal. While it is currently optional with our main federal funder, NSF, we recommend that if you and anyone on your research teams haven’t registered for one to please do so here: https://orcid.org/. The sign-up process it easy but for more established researchers, adding older information to have a complete profile may take a while.
Also add this information to your SciENcv profile: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sciencv/. This producer of approved federal biosketches is required or endorsed by NIH, NSF, DoD, NASA, Energy and using it is helpful. Again, if you don’t have a profile in this system, please establish one at the link above.
We hope that everyone had lovely winter holidays and a bright new year.
