Abstract.  Intriguing features of the macroscopic physics of the physiology of the human body will be presented. This will include classic thoughts on body function and performance from a numerical perspective that may not be obvious or widely known, as well as newly developed insights. Examples include the answers to the following questions: In what way do the spines of men and women fundamentally differ? How often is the energy molecule ATP regenerated? How is most of the extra energy intake during pregnancy used?  Why does joint action due to muscle contraction not tell the whole story of motion, such as in the pitching motion in baseball?
