Chris Gunter (Emory University)
Abstract. Dr. Gunter is a human geneticist by training, an editor by inclination, and a science communicator by fascination. She will discuss the need and methods for engaging multiple audiences in the communication of sciences. Given the rapidly changing nature of scientific publication, the talk will concentrate on tips for success with traditional papers (including cover letters, appeals, and editor wrangling), and end with options for exploring the newest media.
