Noyce Conference Room
Working Group
  US Mountain Time

Our campus is closed to the public for this event.

Abstract.  With funding from a planning grant from NSF’s Building Community and Capacity for Data-Intensive Research in the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences and in Education and Human Resources  (BCC-SBE/EHR) program, the participants in this proposed Working Group have been planning and beginning to prototype cybertools for synthesizing knowledge of past environments, as an eventual aid for research in archaeology, history, ecology, geography, sustainability, and related disciplines. Our initial work has been limited to the US Southwest. The purpose of this Working Group is to take stock of our progress to date (also summarized at http://www.EnviRecon.org), make key design decisions, and develop a detailed plan for the next phase of this project.
