This meeting is the second annual retreat for the ARIA project. ARIA, or the AI Research Institute on Interaction for AI Assistants, is a multi-institution NSF-funded AI research institute whose purpose is to strengthen AI via integrating the study of human cognition and machine cognition, bringing together researchers in computer science, neuroscience, cognitive science, philosophy, law, and education together with mental health practitioners and civil society groups to advance technology and improve human wellbeing.
