One of the founders and a member of the Steering Committee of the Atalaya Institute, a new and independent public policy institute in Santa Fe, NM.
I am on the editorial board of Quantitative Finance. I was also the founding co-editor-in-chief (with Michael Dempster), and served in that position from 2001-2004
Since 1996 I have been on the board of Forest Guardians a non-profit organization that preserves and restores native wildlands and wildlife in the Southwest. I have been president of the board since 2001.
My family oversees the Eli Farmer Fund, administered by the New Mexico Community Foundation. We make donations to several local organizations, including Forest Guardians, Warehouse 21, and Santa Fe Preparatory School.
