The detailed conclusions drawn from these data are tentative at best. To be retained is the point of view that hypertext documents can be studied as physical objects, and that laws of their behavior may be within reach. The statistical analysis initiated here may be extended to other sorts of interactive information products, such as computer games, multi-media presentations, interactive movies, and the like. In the case of computer games, for instance, it may be interesting to compare patterns of play in single-user and multi-user games. One anticipates that multi-user games may exhibit more critical phenomena than single-user games. The field is wide open.
