I'm currently a post-doctoral fellow at the
Santa Fe Institute, where I spend most of my time studying social,
biological and technological networks using tools from computer science,
physics and statistics. I'm particularly interested in probabalistic models of
networks, notions of large-scale organization, network formation, the interplay
of structure and function, methods for the analysis of complex systems, and
computation in biological or evolutionary systems. In the past few years, I've also
become interested in the statistics of conflict (mainly terrorism), and evolutionary
biology. Many of these topics, along with a general fascination with the world, underly
my interest in blogging about science at
Structure+Strangeness. You can find out more about my professional and
personal life through the links to the right.
