Nov. 20, 2012 11:50 a.m.

A symposium co-sponsored by SFI and the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study examined the 2008 financial crisis through the lenses of finance, economics, complex systems, neuroeconomics, and computational social science.

The three-day course, "The Science of Complexity: Understanding the Global Financial Crisis," was held May 16-18, 2012, at the George Mason University campus in Arlington, Virginia. It was one of a series of topical SFI complex systems short courses held periodically around the country.
