The humble ant gets a closer look in the Santa Fe New Mexican, which highlights SFI Science Board member Deborah Gordon’s research on ant interactions as complex systems.

In the New Mexican’s "Science Matters" column, Gordon is quoted as saying “we could learn from [ant interactions] about other systems, like brains and data networks that we engineer, and even cancer.” The article also discusses Gordon’s vision for using ant-inspired algorithms for making sense of data networks.
