Duncan Watts believes common sense often misleads us into believing we understand more about human behavior than we really do. 

His new book, Everything Is Obvious: *Once You Know the Answer (Crown Business, March 2011), reviews recent research and experimentation in social science and social networking and reveals how commonsense reasoning can undermine our ability to address complex issues in business, government, and life.

A longtime SFI External Professor, Watts is a principal research scientist at Yahoo! Labs, where he directs the Human Social Dynamics group.
