SFI President Jerry Sabloff presented the American Anthropological Association’s 2010 Distinguished Lecture at the Association’s 109th annual meeting November 17-21 in New Orleans. His lecture received a standing ovation.

Jerry’s lecture, titled “The Circulation of Ideas: Anthropology and Public Outreach,” examined the importance of communication between anthropologists and their publics, the impediments to effective communications, and some ways to overcome such barriers.

His lecture complemented the Association’s 2010 annual meeting theme: Circulation.
