Joy Covey, a member of SFI's Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2009, died yesterday in a bicycle accident. She was 50.
An avid athlete, Covey was killed in a collision with a vehicle on one of the windy roads she loved in Silicon Valley, according to reports. She was Amazon's first Chief Financial Officer.
