The Atlantic's Richard Florida takes a look at innovation and its relationships with patents and urban living, citing views of SFI External Professor W. Brian Arthur and research by frequent SFI collaborators Deborah Strumsky and Jose Lobo.

Strumsky and Lobo are among the authors of a just-released report by the Brookings Institution that examines historic patent data in relation to their cities of origin.
