I'm originally from Perth Western Australia but now reside in Sydney Australia. I did a couple of years of basic math in engineering when I left school. In my last year of undergrad doing psychology I took a unit in Nonlinear Dynamical Systems. Now I'm a psychologist come neuroscientist come physicist. Pretending to be the latter (I've never done physics!) since I now work (PhD student) with a team of physicists on a continuum model of brain electroencephalography based on wave physics. I think brain function can ultimately only be understood from a dynamical systems approach; emergent activity that arises from riddled basins of attractors representing neural interactions. I'm looking forward to learning about nonlinear systems but I hope someone can help me with my math! I'm bringing my mountain bike so if anyone's interesting in coming riding that would be great!
