My interest in archaeology is a long-standing one, fostered by a childhood in the American Southwest. My BA is from the University of Arizona, where I studied anthropology, and I am currently enrolled in the PhD program at Harvard in the archaeology department. My interests are in Mesoamerican archaeology, specifically in the development of, and relationships between, urbanism, urban organization, and social complexity. I also have a strong interest in archaeological theory and in the application of models to archaeolgical questions.
