I'm a PhD student in Economics at Michigan. I came to complex systems from a background in empirical labor economics; now I study public finance and microeconomic theory. I want to pursue questions of economic modeling under behavioral rules that depart from pure rationality. I'm also interested in modeling the political process as endogenous part of the economy: Classic economic policy analysis assumes government decisions are outside of the model, and I hope to build models in which governmental decisions are in part determined in response to the economic environment, not apart from it. I am also interested in the role of limited information in economic decisions.
