I am a post graduate student of Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MSIEM). Right now I'm engaged in research in the field of artificial intelligence. Also, I have had teaching practice at MSIEM--I'm teaching a course on "Information theory" and going to teach a course on "Artificial intelligence."

The problem, which I am researching, is part of the project on creating new conceptual model for software applications BOMD (Binary object oriented model of data). This project is performed by a group of researchers from MSIEM and it's supported by Russian Fund of fundamental investigations (project 99-01-01216). It includes elements of artificial intelligence, relational database theory and object-oriented design method. My task in this project is connected with the program realization of the model that is creation of compilers for this model.

In addition to the teaching practice and research I also work for the firm "NetTrader.ru" as a programmer. I am participating in creation of completely automatic internet-brokerage system (www.nettrader.ru). Corporate objective of NetTrader.ru is to make a significant contribution to development of Russian stock market and to turn it into a market accessible and attractive to everybody. While working in this field, I came across the task of creation of interactive mass-user system. As the system is designed for mass private investors there appears a strong socio-psychological factor to be taken into consideration: how to provide different people with information according to their age, profession and social status in full, clearly and in a simple way. For solving this task NetTrader.ru carried out sociological research, according to which the interface of the system was designed, and I took an active part in this work.

This project has large perspective, because internet develops very quickly in Russia. According to research made in April 2001, already 80% of share transactions at the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange was done through the internet and this number is constantly growing. Currently our system is working and giving to our clients opportunity to trade shares of Russian companies on the MICEX and RTS stock exchanges. In the future our firm plans to expand the list of the offered services.
