My current focus of interest is comparative physiology and physiological ecology, with an emphasis on evolutionary adaptation to environment. I find myself continuously awed by the diverse adaptations of flora and fauna to environmental extremes. I am committed to learning as much as I possibly can about how the world works. And I am intrigued with how biocomplexity might unveil a new theoretical framework for looking at the universe; one that allows simple rules to explain the intricate and puzzling exhibitions of behavior and function that occur in the natural world.
