Yao Li, Female, Born in 1961, Researcher in the Electronics Department of Beijing Normal University

I got my B.S. degree in the Electronics Department of Beijing Normal University in 1983. During 1987-1991 and 1994-1998, I studied respectively as a Master student in the Electronics Department of Beijing Normal University and a Ph.D student in Automation Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences in part time, and got M.S and Ph.D respectively in 1991 and 1998.

Now my research interest is mainly concerned with cognitive science and information processing. Now our group is working on these aspects as below.

1. Research on processing of brain data and location of brain function based on Statistic parametric mapping -- SPM
• Improve some models used in SPM, such as General Linear Model,
• Research on the background noise of brain data,
• Observe the activity areas of brain and locate functions of brain on different scale
2. Research on the brain dynamics based on EEG data
• Noise processing in EEG data,
• Extraction of character and location of function,
• How to calculate the Spatio-temporal exponents, General entropy and entropy potential function of EEG?
3. Research the cognitive process of human based on complexity
