Jinyun Ke is a PhD student in Language Engineering Laboratory in Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. Her current research interests include language evolution and language change. She is using computation simulation and mathematical models to study how vocabulary emerged and evolves by self-organization and selection. She is also interested in the relationship between language change and language acquisition, especially how acquisition affects language change and what are the characteristics of language acquisition when a language change is going on in a linguistic community.
