I am doing a PhD on the modeling of HIV-infection at Eötvös University in Budapest. I use simple ODE models to describe the interactions between the immune cells and the virus. Currently I am most interested in the implications of the compartmentalization of the virus pool between the lymphoid tissues and the blood and the interpretation of virus decay curves during treatment. I also have a strong interest in evolution, both within and outside the HIV field. Besides the modeling work, I also do, and enjoy, teaching (undergraduate math and English) and occasionally translate books from English into Hungarian.
