
Timur Mikhailov has received a BSc in Computer Science degree with distinction from the University of Latvia (Riga, 2000), a BA in Economics degree with distinction from the Moscow State Industrial University (Moscow, 2000), and Diploma in Economics from the Higher School of Economics and Culture (Riga, 2000). He has been awarded five scholarships from the Latvian Fund of Education for his research in the area of computer science. Timur Mikhailov's research of neural network application to stock market analysis and forecasting conducted on the Riga Stock Exchange has been awarded the University of Latvia Rector's Prize and highly appraised by the Riga Stock Exchange management. Currently, Timur Mikhailov is a research student in the Centre for Financial Research, University of Cambridge. His present research concerns Artificial Intelligence application to financial markets, with specific interest in hybrid intelligent techniques. Timur Mikhailov is going to teach Financial Applications of Intelligent Systems and Mathematical Modelling in Finance courses.
