Han Jing

j_han picture I am a second year Ph.D. candidate in department of Computer Science and Technology in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). My major is Computer Software. My research areas are Multi-Agent System, Artificial Life, Constraint Satisfaction Problems (CSPs). I am one of the 2000 SFI International Fellows.

My current project is Alife-based multi-agent model (AER model) for solving Constraint Satisfaction Problem. I have used this model to solve N-queen Problem and Coloring Problem. It is very successful and there is a lot of future work on this model. My kernel idea is that 'Intelligence is a complex system. In essence, it is the interactions between the simple agents and the environment (Simple Agent + Environment + Interactive Rules => Intelligence.) The system should have the following attributes: Simplicity, Locality, Globality, Cohesion, Dynamics.'
