Martin received a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Stuttgart and a PhD in Economics from Humboldt University in Berlin. Thereafter he was research fellow at the International Institute of Infonomics, before becoming Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor in Economics at Maastricht University. Martin is broadly interested in anything which has to do with human behavior and decision making. To tackle his research questions he is mainly using lab experiments but sometimes also simulations and theoretical models.
