Bio

Kay Taylor Burnett is the founder and former CEO of The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake in Texas, a Fellow at Stanford University Graduate School of Business (ARTS), and serves on the board of Marfa Public Radio. The studio is named in her honor. 

The Desert Mountain Times, newspaper, State of the Arts at Clear Lake, art publication, and The Desert Candle literary magazine were founded and published by Burnett.

She maintains a small non-profit foundation, and is the CEO of a small energy development company.

"No Odes to Widows" was her first published murder mystery (2009),and a second, "Gingerquill", will be published in 2011.

The widow of legendary Texas lawyer, Warren Burnett, and mother of four adult children, lives in Alpine, Texas with her dog and cat.
