Bio

Fred is a theoretical physicist whose recent research interests are in the areas of non-equilibrium phase transitions, solitary wave interactions,  and the use of quantum field theory methods to study reaction diffusion equations and the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates. Until recently he was program director for theoretical physics at the National Science Foundation, and he had earlier had been Group Leader of the Particle Physics group T-8 at LANL. He is currently  on the staff of  the Complex Systems and Condensed Matter group T-4 at LANL.
