Driving to SFI from Los Alamos

From Los Alamos, NM take Highway 502 to the Pojoaque turnoff.

Follow the signs for Highway 84/285 south to Santa Fe. As you enter Santa Fe, the road forks and there is a sign for "Downtown Santa Fe." Stay in the left lane at that point.

When you get to the light at Paseo de Peralta, turn left.

Go to to third light at Washington and take a left. Take a right at the next light, Artist Road (which becomes Hyde Park Road).

Drive 1.4 miles up the hill. The Institute is located on the first paved driveway on the left after the Gonzales intersection (about 20 yards past the intersection). There is an adobe-colored wall with a gate and a large sign that says "Santa Fe Institute - Cowan Campus." Drive to the top of the driveway to reach the main building.

Turn left into the driveway and drive to the top of the road to reach the Institute's main building.
