As you exit from the Albuquerque, NM airport, stay in the left lane of the "S-curve" around the parking garage onto Sunport Rd, which will exit directly onto I-25 North to Santa Fe.

Travel approximately one hour on I-25 to the Old Pecos Trail Exit (#284). Take a left on Old Pecos Trail and stay to the right after you pass the light at Zia. Old Pecos Trail veers to the right and changes in name only to Old Santa Fe Trail as you approach the downtown area.

At the large intersection of Old Santa Fe Trail and Paseo de Peralta, take a right. At the next light (Alameda) take a right. Go through two stop signs and take the very next left onto Gonzales.

Go across the top of the hill to the intersection of Hyde Park Road. Take a right, the Institute is located on the first paved driveway to the left. There is an adobe-colored wall with a gate and a large sign that says "Santa Fe Institute - Cowan Campus." Drive to the top of the driveway to reach the main building.
